Barbour County Beekeepers will be meeting at the observation hive located on the Yoholo Micco Trail in Eufaula Dec. 12 at 2. This meeting is open to anyone interested in bees or beekeeping. The Last Chance PLM workshop is your last chance in Southern Alabama to attend an in-person training in 2021 and receive PLM, CFE, or CPA hours.
Select from the three attendance options below
1. All-day (10 PLM, 8.5 – CFE Cat 1, and 5 CPA (FOR, ROW, D&R, and AQ) hours). $150
2. Morning session only (5 PLM and 4 CFE Cat-1 hours). $75
3. Afternoon session only (5 PLM, 4.5 – CFE Cat 1, and 5 CPA (FOR, ROW, D&R, and AQ) hours). $75

Annual Alabama Agricultural Outlook Conference

The Auburn University College of Agriculture and Alabama Cooperative Extension System Farm and Agribusiness Management Team will hold its annual conference on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 10am-3pm. State and regional economic experts will discuss an array of agricultural activities relevant to Alabama while examining the current agricultural economic situation and the outlook for the year ahead. Beyond commodity discussions, topics will include policy, land, and agricultural finances. A full agenda will be available soon. The event will include several opportunities for questions and answers.

FSMA Water Update (New FDA Proposed Rule)

On December 6, 2021, FDA Published a proposed Rule revising the FSMA Water requirements for produce growers. We will provide an update regarding the changes, information on how to comment on FDA’s proposed Rule, and discuss how Alabama Extension can assist growers with meeting the requirements.
