Private Applicators Training

Any Grower needing to renew a Private Applicator Permit is invited to attend the testing. This is NOT a training. We are only testing. Upon passing the test with a grade of 70% or higher the applicant must submit the application to the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries along with a $25.00 permit fee.

Veterans Gardening Project at Landmark Park

Veterans of all ages, active-duty military, and their families or support networks are invited to join us for a casual gardening project. The Veteran’s Gardening Project will host a series of workshops that will cover gardening basics for those getting started and advanced topics for our seasoned gardeners. We will work in the raised bed gardens at Landmark Park to grow everything from squash to native pollinator beds. A short workday in the garden will follow each educational demonstration, weather-dependent.  We ask that all participants wear a mask and bring their gardening gloves.
