Private Applicator Training and Testing – Region 3

This event provides training and testing for private applicator license required by growers to purchase and apply restricted use pesticides on their farm or operation. A written exam follows the training. There is a fee of $20 payable to ACES at the door. Seating is limited and face masks are preferred. Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Training

Breastfeeding is becoming increasingly important to today’s parents. Many families are searching and comparing child care programs that are willing to support their decision to breastfeed and for providers that are educated on the best methods for feeding and caring for their infants.
This two hour training will give you the knowledge you need to best support your breastfeeding families as well as help you get started on your journey to becoming an Alabama Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care provider.
For this training each attendee will receive two professional development clock hours and a training certificate that is honored by DHR. These clock hours can be counted towards your yearly professional development hours.

(Block off Hwy 280 beside River Bank & Trust) This event will be a beginner 101 type class and will cover basic propagation techniques for home gardeners – seeds, cuttings, layering, grafting, and budding. Some hand-on activities and training being planned. Time will be from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cost is $10 with lunch provided.
