Let’s have a DEEP conversation about managing your diabetes. The Diabetes Empowerment Education Program is free, six weeks of diabetes self-management strategies. Participants will learn: Understanding the Human Body, Understanding Risk Factors for Diabetes, Monitoring Your Body, Being Physically Active, Planning Meals, Identifying and Preventing Complications, Learning about Medications & Medical Care, and Living with Diabetes: Mobilizing Your Family and Friends.

Interested in homesteading ? Wondering if you can make a profit ? This series is for you ! We will focus on the requirements of different homesteading endeavors and how to make them into a successful business. Economists and production specialists with The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will discuss budgets and requirements for a variety of fruit, vegetable and livestock enterprises. This program is not a “how to” program, but a “can I” or “should I” program. The program is designed to help potential producers know the opportunities, requirements, and possible pitfalls associated with multiple small scale agricultural business enterprises and to evaluate the appropriateness of each enterprise for their situation.

Summer Canning Workshop
