A six-session parenting program for parents

Tuning in to Kids shows you how to help your child develop emotional intelligence. Children with higher emotional intelligence:

Urban Green: Back-2-Basics Wednesdays

The Back-2-Basics Gardening Webinar Series provides adult online training on basic gardening and landscaping, particularly for people living in urban areas where there is limited space. Back-2-Basics will run on Zoom each Wednesday starting April 1 through Wednesday, May 6 from 10:00-10:30 a.m. as follows:

Stay at Home Beekeeping Series

The need to practice social distancing in order to reduce transmission of COVID-19 means that beekeepers now need to gather together in different ways.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension proposes that members of beekeeping clubs attend ’remote’ meetings from the comfort of their own home using a computer or mobile device. Each event will allow participants to learn about timely beekeeping information and to contribute to discussions.

Estate Planning Basic Zoom Workshop

Estate Planning Basics is a free statewide program that falls under the Successful Aging Initiative (SAI). SAI is managed by Dr. Dorothy Brandon, Consumer Science and Personal Financial Management Specialist on Alabama A&M University Campus. SAI promotes health and estate planning for Alabama’s older adults, families, and caregivers. During the workshop participants will learn methods of organizing your important papers and Attorney Tinisha Glenn from The Glenn Law Firm, LLC will explain the importance of having a Will, Living Will and Power of Attorney.
