ONLINE EXAM for following counties: Autauga, Montgomery, Elmore, Chilton, and Lowndes. Course meeting ADPH requirement to operate as a Cottage Food Operation. Course includes specifics about the AL Cottage Food Law, identify foods that can be sold, where foods can be sold, recognize labeling requirements and food safety recommendations for the cottage food operator. Videos must be watched prior to taking the exam.

The Back-2-Basics Gardening Webinar Series provides adult online training on basic gardening and landscaping, particularly for people living in urban areas where there is limited space. Cottage Food Certification Online Course and Testing

This is a certification for those wanting to sell non-hazardous items from their home. The class Is offered through videos online at http://www.aces.edu/cottagefood Next you will need to register on the same website and pay for your test and certification which is good for 5 years. Once your registration is received you will get an email or phone call to see if you have further questions and then a link for the test will be sent to you with a certain amount of time to take your test. The link will only be good for about 2 hours. The test is only 25 questions and pretty simple.

The need to practice social distancing in order to reduce transmission of COVID-19 means that beekeepers now need to gather together in different ways.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension proposes that members of beekeeping clubs attend ’remote’ meetings from the comfort of their own home using a computer or mobile device. Each event will allow participants to learn about timely beekeeping information and to contribute to discussions.
