Urban Green: Back-2-Basics Wednesdays

The Back-2-Basics Gardening Webinar Series provides adult online training on basic gardening and landscaping, particularly for people living in urban areas where there is limited space. Back-2-Basics will run on Zoom each Wednesday starting April 1 through Wednesday, May 6 from 10:00-10:30 a.m. as follows:

Mental Health First Aid Training Course

Low commodity prices, extreme weather events and tariff/trade conditions create rising stress for farmers. As part of its mission to support rural communities and agriculture, ACES is partnering with vital at the University of Alabama and Alabama AG Credit to offer Mental Health First Aid training for agribusiness professionals. This training is aimed at providing agribusiness professionals with the tools they need to help identify signs and symptoms of stress and help those they serve find resources to manage the stress they might be facing. The training will be held at the Cattlemans Building in Montgomery, Alabama. This is an eight hour training limited to 30 participants. Lunch is provided.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension proposes that members of beekeeping clubs attend ’remote’ meetings from the comfort of their own home using a computer or mobile device. Each event will allow participants to learn about timely beekeeping information and to contribute to discussions.
