RUP Training for Private Applicators–Marshall County

Marshall County Office, Suite G21, 424 Blount Avenue Guntersville AL, 35976-1132; Marshall County 585.9 miles

RUP Training for Private Applicators

These classes are designed for the farmers who need to take the private pesticide applicator test in order to purchase restricted use products. However, we will be discussing chemical safety and sprayer calibration at this class, so anyone who sprays pesticides on a large scale will benefit from this training even if a restricted pesticide license is not needed. If you would like to attend any of these classes call the Extension Office of the County you want to attend and make your reservation as seating is limited in some locations. A fee of $20 will be charged for this training and testing. An additional licensing fee of $25 will be sent to the Department of Agriculture and Industries by the applicant. The licensing fee is not included in the training and testing fee. Please plan to pay with a check (checks are preferred) made out the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) in the amount of $20 or with the correct cash amount.

  • Participants will test at the end of the training course (must obtain a passing
grade of 70 percent or higher).
  • Statewide training/testing dates will be Jan. 1–Sept. 30 of each year.
  • No training courses will be offered Oct. 1–Dec. 31 of any year.
  • If applicant passes, he or she will forward permit fees ($25) to the
Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries for issuance of permit.
  • Pre-register with your County office.
