Provides leadership for the design, development, implementation,
and evaluation of Extension educational programs in the areas
of urban and new nontraditional programs. Provides support and
leadership to Extension County Agents, specialists, and others
in designing and developing effective programs and materials,
focusing primarily on urban and new nontraditional programs based
on assessment of clientele needs. Coordinates activities of the
Urban Unit's Resource Center. Provides leadership for integrating
technology into Extension programming in concert with sound instructional
design principles; develops in-service training to support a systematic
approach to designing and developing Extension programs; provides
support for evaluating the training needs of both individuals
and the System; initiates or collaborates on external funding;
and cooperates with agencies, organizations, colleges, universities,
volunteers and other partners in delivering educational programs
and activities.
