Members of the STAR team were demonstrating traditional "street games" at the Boy Scout Jamboree in Talladega, AL in an effort to get scout leaders to coordinate more outdoor activities. So many of today's kids are suffering from any number of problems related to their high-fat, high-sugar diets combined with their sedentary lifestyles that are nearly devoid of all contact with nature. Also shown is UREA Phillip Carter telling Scout groups about the outdoor activities to be had with honeybees and volunteer Michelle Chenault with our Urban Extension booth on the plight of our nature deficit children. |
