Goals
(Short-Range
& Long-Range)
The AAMU Service-Learning Network will:
- Engage students in service to the local
community and build relationships with community agencies.
- Provide structured orientation and training
sessions to prepare students to deliver services according to
legal and risk management policies.
- Outline the structure, policies, and
procedures for all academic and non-academic student participation
in service/volunteer learning.
- Assess and clarify the needs of community
agencies an match the needs of agencies to student's disciplines
of study.
- Develop and format a mechanism for documenting
and retrieving data from academic schools, departments, organizations,
and registration of student volunteers.
- Provide participation by and with diverse
populations.
- Evaluate and assess to improve the AAMU
service-learning network in response to changing needs of students
and community agency priorities.
