VCLLI Fall ’23: Grounds and Gardens-Fall Gardening

Learn easy-to-understand practices for home gardening as you plan for fall gardening projects. Topics include:
• Fall Vegetable Gardening- Fall isn’t the end of the vegetable gardening year, it’s the start of a whole new season! Learn how to extend your vegetable gardening season into the fall by planting crops that grow best in cooler temperatures.
• Preparing your Landscape for Winter- Is your landscape ready for winter? Learn what you can do to protect your landscape from winter weather and tasks that you can do to give your landscape a head start next spring.
• Ten Great Trees and Shrubs for the Alabama Landscape- Did you know that fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs in Alabama? Join us to look at some great tree and shrub options for landscapes in Alabama and learn how to give these plants a good start in your landscape.
