What is Go-Getter?
- Go-Getter is a free educational series for Alabama residents that offers workforce credentials or entrepreneurship strategies.
- Go-Getter has two pathways: Workforce and Entrepreneur.
Who should start a Go-Getter series?
- Those interested in obtaining job skills training.
- People experiencing barriers to employment.
- Business owners and those interested in starting a business.
What Go-Getter Offers Alabama Residents
- Online, on-demand courses that are accessible on any mobile device.
- Flexibility to complete coursework on your schedule and at your own pace.
- Interactive workshops to support workforce development.
- Ongoing mentorship from community partners.
- Pathways to workforce credentials and certifications.
Only about 5.2 percent of impoverished Alabamians will obtain a high status of wealth in their lifetime. According to the World Bank, the surest way out of poverty is a job and rising wages.

Go-Getter Pathways Activities
Go-Getter Pathways teaches participants the best ways to improve employment possibilities and ways to start and manage a small business. Use a computer, laptop, or mobile device to access online courses.
- Online Courses: Start an online, self-paced course to get you on track to earn workforce credentials.
- Educational Webinars: Meet online monthly to discuss strategies to improve your business.
- Training Workshops: Join in person for workshops on starting a new business, managing financials, and marketing your business.
- One-on-one Mentoring: Go-Getter has partnered with local entrepreneurs who will work with you to support your business.
