AUBURN UNIVERSITY, Ala. – The Alabama Cooperative Extension System walked away as a big winner at the 2023 Association for Communications Excellence (ACE) annual conference. Overall, Alabama Extension professionals received 11 ACE awards for outstanding communications products.

ACE is a professional association for personnel who practice in all areas of communications related to agriculture, natural resources and life and human sciences. Many of the country’s land-grant institutions and Extension services are represented among the association’s membership.

Winning Projects

The Wildlife Habitat Education Program poster won the Outstanding Professional Skill Award in the graphic design category.

Alabama Extension won six gold, two silver and two bronze ACE awards. These awards represent eight different projects and four program areas including Alabama 4-H, agriculture, forestry and natural resources, human sciences and SNAP-Ed. One project also won the Outstanding Professional Skill Award for the graphic design category.

“We are fortunate to have such an outstanding and talented team telling the story of Alabama Extension,” said Mike Clardy, Alabama Extension’s director of communications, strategic marketing and client relations. “I’m proud to see our work recognized by peers on a national level. These awards not only reflect the great work of our department but also the tireless work that Extension agents and specialists do every day for Alabama residents.”

Alabama Extension takes the power of Auburn University and Alabama A&M University to the people of the state. The award-winning projects below represent just some of the ways the Alabama Cooperative Extension System extends knowledge and improves lives.
