Mission
Statement
The mission of the network is parallel
to that of the University's: commitment to excellence in education
and the creation of a scholarly environment in which inquiring
and discriminating minds may be nourished through the engagement
of experiential and service-learning of student volunteers in
various academic disciplines/departments. The Alabama A&M
University Network is an integrated network that encompasses
all university units and/or schools and is designed to meet the
changing needs (educational, emotional, social, and intellectual)
of the community with a commitment of serving underserved and
hard-to-reach populations. The AAMU Service-Learning Nework provides
an environment where theory is put into practice in the community
in cooperation with businesses, governmental/industrial and community-based
agencies.
