Job Summary

Develop, implement and evaluate educational projects and programs in the area of health and human nutrition with a focus on urban and nontraditional audiences. Provide leadership for health and nutrition projects and programs that are designed to address the needs of high risk, under-served populations. Prepare educational materials including presentations, visual aides, media releases magazine articles and other resource publications. Provide assistance to other Extension specialists in incorporating health and human nutrition subject matter into family and community related projects and programs. Develop in-services to support the training needs of County Extension Agents; and pursue educational resources through grant writing. Programs are carried out by working with county offices, consumers, and in collaboration with other community agencies and organizations that provide health and nutrition education.
