Beef Quality Assurance Training

Blackbelt Research and Extension Center, 60 County Road 944, Marion Junction, AL 36759

The Alabama Beef Quality Assurance Program (BQA) is modeled after national guidelines developed and adopted by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. The Alabama BQA program is conducted by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System in partnership with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association.

Individuals who attend a Beef Quality Assurance training workshop and pass a test administered at the workshop, can become Alabama BQA Certified producers. This can and should include anyone involved in beef cattle production and may include individuals who do not own or market animals, such as ranch hands or farm workers..

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&M University and Auburn University) is an equal opportunity educator, employer, and provider. If you need a reasonable accommodation or free language access services, contact Court Green-Johnson at 2056596796 or cgd0040@aces.edu by 2/3/2026.
