Dallas County Extension Director David Daniel was recognized during the Black Alumni Awards at Auburn University as the award recipient for the College of Agriculture. He was among 12 awardees. Recipients are chosen based on outstanding professional achievements, personal integrity and stature within and service to the university.
“It was an honor to be recognized by Auburn University,” Daniel said. “The work we do as Extension educators is important, and it’s a special feeling to have my alma mater recognize my work. I appreciate the organizers of Auburn University’s Black Alumni Reunion, as well as the Auburn Alumni Association, the College of Agriculture and the Department of Animal Sciences for this opportunity.”
A 2007 Auburn graduate, Daniel currently serves as a member of the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past member of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s Young Cattlemen Leadership Program Council.
The annual awards program is part of Auburn’s Black Alumni Reunion. A two-day celebration, the reunion includes networking and social events on campus. To learn more about Auburn alumni opportunities, visit alumni.auburn.edu.
