With the December 2025 edition of the Journal of National Association of County Agricultural Agents, nine staff members with Alabama Extension at Auburn University have new author credits to their names.
The journal accepted three publications that tackle topics about beef cattle marketing, greenhouse tomato cultivars and stockpiling bahiagrass. Authors of the accepted publications represented five teams within Extension’s Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources area.
Becky Barlow, Alabama Extension assistant director for agriculture, forestry, wildlife and natural resources programming, said seeing so many Extension authors in one journal was an impressive achievement.
“I am so proud to see the scholarly work of Extension agents and specialists representing teams within agriculture, forestry and natural resources being recognized nationally,” Barlow said. “I encourage team members to think about opportunities to submit articles to this and other Extension related journals.”
Accepted publications and their authors include the following:

- Calen Monroe, Extension Agent; Ken Kelley, Extension Agent and Coordinator; Wendiam Sawadgo, Extension Economist; and Max Runge, Extension Professor; all in Farm and Agribusiness Management with Auburn University
