Mary Olive Thomas Demonstration Forest, 3319 Moores Mill Rd, Auburn, AL 36830

Landowner Field Day at the Mary Olive Thomas (MOT) Demonstration Forest in Auburn Alabama. Come tour the 400-acre demonstration forest and learn about a wide range of forest and wildlife management being implemented on the forest! You will get to see different fire return intervals plots and vegetation control of each, loblolly and longleaf pine management, hardwood (oak/hickory) management, streamside management zones/riparian buffers, native plant restoration (native grasses and wildflowers), wildlife, and many other topics. There will also be demonstrations of a portable sawmill and wild pig traps.
