How to Store
- Keep away from ethylene-sensitive produce like broccoli, carrots, peppers, leafy greens, and watermelon.
- Refrigerate whole apples away from strong-odored foods for up to 3 weeks.
How to Prepare
- Wash and dry.
- For halves: Slice upright and remove the core with a spoon or melon baller.
- For slices or cubes: Slice into halves, remove the core, then cut lengthwise into slices or cubes.
- For rings: Slice horizontally and remove the core and seeds.
How to Enjoy
- Eat raw as a snack. Serve with nut butter, honey, or yogurt dip.
- Add to salads, slaws, oatmeal, smoothies, or fruit salsa.
- Make applesauce, bake into chips, or use in breads and desserts.

Recipes
3 Quick and Easy Apple Snacks
- Apple slices + 2 tablespoons nut butter. Dip apple slices into nut butter and enjoy.
- Apple slices + drizzle of honey. Drizzle honey on apple slices and enjoy.
- Apple rings + 2 tablespoons nut butter + 1 tablespoon rolled oats + sprinkle of cinnamon. Spread nut butter on apple rings, top with oats and cinnamon and enjoy.
Apple Chips 
Ingredients
- 2 apples, cored and sliced thin
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange apple rings on the baking sheet in an even layer and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, until the slices are crisp and golden brown.
- Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.
Chicken Apple Salad Wrap
Ingredients
- 1 – 12.5 ounce can of chicken, drained
- 1 medium apple, diced
- ½ cup celery, chopped
- ¼ cup plain low or reduced-fat Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup light mayonnaise
- 1-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups lettuce, chopped
- 4 whole wheat wraps
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
Directions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine chicken, apple, celery, yogurt, mayonnaise, mustard, onion, garlic powder, and optional pecans.
- Assemble wraps by placing about ½ cup of lettuce in the center of each wrap and top with ¼ of chicken mixture. Roll into burrito
