Foodborne illness is a food safety issue that can be reduced by training. The Alabama Cooperative Extension System Food Safety and Quality team provides timely information on food certification and food safety to families, farmers, producers, processors, and food service workers across the state.

By participating in these trainings and courses, people have a direct impact on the safety and health of not only their families but also ultimately all of Alabama’s residents. By participating in food safety trainings, individuals can have improved employment opportunities, better financial statuses, prospects for advancement, and overall improvement of their lives.
