The Alabama Irrigation Management Program newsletter is designed to keep Alabama producers and crop consultants informed of technology and best practices available for irrigation water management. As with many other crop management practices, timely irrigation management is needed to increase productivity and maximize profitability; however, irrigation decisions can be complex at times. This newsletter is intended to help stakeholders increase their confidence in the use of technology for better irrigation water management. A team of Extension specialists, research specialists, and graduate and undergraduate students are working on the evaluation and demonstration of several irrigation management practices throughout Alabama to give farmers timely information and recommendations.
