Season 5 Episode 7 — Disease Management in Cotton & Peanuts
On this episode of the Alabama Crops Podcast, hosts Simer Virk and Scott Graham talk cotton and peanut disease management with Alabama Cooperative Extension System Entomologist and Plant Pathologist, Amanda Scherer. Producers are anticipating more of a wet spring with warmer temperatures, but Scherer said the potential for seedling diseases with soil temperatures below 65 degrees can’t be ruled out. One of the challenges with seedling diseases is that they can occur in any combination with any soil type. Learn more about pre- and post-emergence treatments in this podcast episode.
