Women in Ag – Blount County 4/25 & 4/26

Blount County Multipurpose Complex, 6700 County Road 1, Cleveland 35049

Join us for this 2-day workshop featuring hands-on activities and topics covering both livestock and horticulture production! This event is for women, taught by women. Female farm operators of any experience level will benefit from this workshop.

This event is open to everyone 19 years old and up.

Friday, April 25
8 AM – 6:30 PM

Saturday, April 26
8 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Cattle evaluation
  • Cattle handling & vaccines
  • Calving demonstration
  • Small fruit production
  • Cut flower production
  • Beekeeping basics
  • Food preservation
  • Tractor basics
  • Trailer safety and backing
  • Soil sampling
  • Small engine maintenance
  • Estate planning
  • Marketing the farm

Registration closes Friday, April 18 at 4 PM.

Registration fee covers meals and supplies. Fee is non-refundable.
