Purpose of the Alabama Master Gardener Volunteer program:

• To increase the availability of horticultural information to Alabama
• To improve quality of life with community projects related to our mission

Program Requirements:

• receive 40 hours of instruction in gardening practices and pest
• control conduct 40 hours of approved volunteer service Selection Criteria

Participants are selected primarily based on their commitment to volunteering in their communities as an educational outreach of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System
