Northwest Alabama Cogongrass Training

Northwest Shoals Community College: Building 110, 800 George Wallace Blvd, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661

Join ACES and the Alabama Forestry Commission for a one-day workshop on the invasive cogongrass that is spreading in north Alabama. We will discuss the history and distribution of this plant, key ways to recognize this plant, how to control it in various settings, financial assistance, and more. We will also briefly discuss the invasive poison hemlock plant that has been spotted in several areas of northwest Alabama.

Lunch will be provided. Please let us know by July 5th if you have any dietary restrictions or need accommodations.
