Limestone County Tomato Workshop

The summer gardening season is here! Join Home Grounds REA Jayne Luetzow, Commercial Horticulture REA Holt Akers-Campbell, and Susan Hill Food Safety and Quality REA in Athens to learn all about tomatoes! They will be discussing tips for growing tomatoes in the home garden, control methods for common tomato diseases and insect pests, and information about varieties best suited for the home gardener. In addition to learning about growing tomatoes participants will also learn how to preserve and use tomatoes in cooking. Register online or contact the Limestone County Extension office at (256) 232-5510 for questions and details. Please note we are cashless. Check or money order only for in person payment.
