Feral Hog & Wildlife Management Workshop – 2/27

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System of Jackson County will be conducting an Feral Hog & Wildlife Management Workshop on Thursday, February 27th from 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Goose Pond Colony Resort 417 Ed Hembree Dr., Scottsboro, AL 35769. This event will provide an overview of feral hog biology, damage impact, control methods as well as an on-site trapping demonstration. Management of wild turkey and white-tailed deer and associated habitat will also be presented. Any landowners or managers that are experiencing feral hog damage or interested in learning more about their impacts and control or looking to improve their management towards turkey and deer are encouraged to attend.

Attendance is free but participants must pre-register, registration includes a seat at the seminars and field demonstration, lunch, and printed presentation materials and related publications. Forester and Loggers may receive 5.5 category 1 continuing education credits by attending. This event is brought to Jackson County with support from the USDA-NRCS Jackson County Conservation District.
