FAMACHA Card Use Certification Workshop on 2/12
Alfa Environmental Training Center, 316 Bartram Street, Livingston 35470
This program will focus on parasite management to provide hands-on training for goat handlers to become certified in the use of the FAMACHA card system and gain the experience on how to do fecal egg counting. Through this program, producers will gain training in parasite identification, body condition scoring, proper anthelmintic use via smart drenching, and management strategies for the reduction of parasite load in small ruminant populations.
