While dedicated hunters can find shed antlers on their own, the best way to find sheds is with a trained dog. Shed dogs will use their nose to find antlers, which allows them to find hidden antlers that humans would normally miss. Start training the dog by placing antlers in short grass, then gradually build up to thicker cover and more wooded areas. Learn more in this short video.
