Tree hinge cut for wildlife cover

Using hinge cuts on mid and understory hardwood trees is a simple management tool that can increase browse and bedding cover availability for deer on your property.  Focus in areas on your property that will benefit most from adding these habitat elements. In addition, target low value trees and avoid mast producing species.
