The Artificial Insemination School is a hands-on training program designed to equip cattle farmers, students, and industry professionals with reproductive management skills. This training program is offered through a partnership among the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the Auburn University College of Agriculture’s Department of Animal Sciences, the Alabama Beef Cattle Improvement Association, and Select Sires.

Topics Covered

The program combines classroom instruction and chute-side demonstrations to help participants gain confidence in artificial insemination procedures. The topics covered include the following:

  • Reproductive anatomy and physiology
  • Estrus synchronization protocols
  • Safe and effective artificial insemination techniques
