Salsa Canning Workshop – Leroy 6/17

Prestwick Community Outreach Center, 3587 Prestwick Road, Leroy, AL 36548; Washington County

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to safely preserve salsa using the water bath canning method! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this session will guide you through each step of the canning process, from selecting fresh ingredients to sealing jars for shelf-stable storage. You’ll learn about food safety, acidity levels, jar preparation, and best practices to keep your salsa safe and delicious for months. Each participant will take home a jar of salsa they helped prepare and can.
