Workshop will be held at Location

Stream restoration and mitigation requirements are moving more and more towards natural channel design techniques. This 2 ½ day workshop will introduce basic concepts of stream restoration using natural channel design. Time will be split between classroom and extensive field work, including project / data summaries and evening work sessions. Classroom work will review natural channel design principles, restoration case studies, and the Rosgen classification system. Field techniques for stream condition assessment and the Rosgen classification system will be covered in detail.

The workshop will center on Stream. Instructor will emphasize urban stream conditions specific to the southeastern U.S. Workshop instructors have experience working on more than 50 stream assessments and restoration projects throughout the Southeast. Each participant will receive a reference manual.
