Mapping the Health of Local Streams

Stream quality may be assessed using a variety of indexes. This rapid stream assessment workshop will focus on stream morphology (stability), bank and riparian habitat, and aquatic insect communities. Collecting stream health data helps a community prioritize streams for restoration and protection. Registration is limited to 25 participants.

Stream Rapid Assessment tools will be covered in the classroom and field. Each participant will receive a resource notebook.
