The Hiawassee River Watershed Coalition HAS BEEN POSTPONED. Please check back for this watershed tour opportunity from Southern Regional Watershed Restoration Program Team starting and ending in Murphy, NC.

The HRWC has over 7 miles of stream restoration projects on the ground and a wealth of information related to landowners, lessons learned, stream construction, and restoration monitoring.

We will visit 6 stream restoration sites ranging from first-order tributary to large river restoration.

Field tour is limited to 25 people. Van travel and refreshments will be provided - bring your own lunch. Participants will be responsible for their own meals, lodging, and travel to and from Murphy, NC.

Introduction to the Hiawassee Watershed and depart on vans to tour restoration sites.
