Watershed
Academy:
Principles
of Water Quality Monitoring,
Planning, and Restoration

March 1 - 4, 2004
Weeks
Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve
Fairhope, Alabama
Sponsored
by the USDA CSREES Southern Region Water Quality Program
This workshop is approved for 2.1
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
from Auburn University.

Thank you for making the first Watershed Academy a success! The
workshop participants represented 12 states from Florida to Colorado
and a variety of professional affiliations. We had local planners,
extension agents, watershed managers, and state agency representatives
working together to build a watershed plan for the Cowpen Creek
and Corn Branch watersheds.
Kudos to Mike Shelton and the Weeks Bay Watershed
Project for their hard work and local arrangements.
If you have suggestions for the next Watershed
Academy or resources you'd like to see on the web page, please contact
me - Eve Brantley.
We'll start planning the reunion workshop
soon!
