Workshop will be held at the beautiful Kimbel Center - part of the Hobcaw Barony in Georgetown, SC.

Description
Participants will learn how to apply water
quality and watershed management principles to understand
and solve complex coastal water resource problems.
Instructors use case studies, field trips,
and group assignments to teach about water quality assessment
and watershed management approaches, including conservation,
protection, and restoration.

Skills gained at this workshop will improve students' ability to identify problems and solutions for their local watersheds. This is not for the faint of heart! The Coastal Academy will mix hard work and analysis with plenty of free time to enjoy late fall along South Carolina's beautiful beaches.

The Watershed Academy is designed
for Extension professionals, local government officials,
local watershed coordinators, project managers, research
professionals, consultants, and agency representatives who
can benefit from a thorough scientific understanding of
watershed processes, assessment, and techniques for protecting
and conserving natural resources.
