ACES Electronic Waste Collection Day

Join the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Discovery Recycling, The ARK Dothan, Assured Data Destruction, and WTVY TV 4 for a FREE "Community Recycling Day" at the Dale County Extension Office Parking lot from 8:00-11:00 a.m., residents can drop-off outdated, unused electronics (excluding glass-screen TVs and computer monitors), paper records and data storage materials to be shredded and recycled. There will be a $10.00 fee for CRT's. So, clean up around your home this Spring and bring your items to the Farm Center.

Landmark Park/ACES Honey Extraction Demonstration

Location: Landmark Park

The annual extraction of honey from the hives at Landmark Park. The public is invited for this hands-on activity to learn about the process of extraction, honey bee biology and beekeeping. Honey will be bottled for sale at the time of extraction and the proceeds benefit the beekeeping program at Landmark Park.

Private Pesticide Applicators Testing Only

A Private Applicator uses or supervises the use of any pesticide for producing any agricultural commodity on property owned or rented, or on the property of another person if applied without compensation. This is a testing period after studying the Study Manual in order to provide the Private Applicator permit to the participant after scoring at least 70. *Additional fee of $25.00 shall be forwarded by the applicant to the Department of Ag for Permit.
