What's Next Barbour- Eufaula and Louisville

7:00 AM -

Location: 525 SCHOOL STREET

I'm excited to announce the Barbour County Extension Office has partnered with the David Mathews Center for Civic Life to provide a series of forums called "What's Next." These forums will involve citizens defining local problems and identifying community-driven solutions by encouraging citizens to talk through issues rather than about them. We will bring the public together in a neutral sit to get everyone's input. This will hopefully help community members find common ground and affect change on the local level. The question we will be asking throughout our upcoming series, "What's Next, Alabama?" We will host three deliberative forums in Eufaula and Louisville, focused on issues of community, workforce, and economic development. These themes will be adapted to each individual community, based on feedback from the community itself, since we understand that the challenges each community faces are unique.Throughout three deliberative forums, the community will come together to think about the future and to ask:(1) Where are we now?(2) Where do we want to go?(3) How do we get there? The dates for these forums is April 12, 19, 26 at 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce and 5:30-7:00 in Louisville (location TBA). We are asking for your support to help get community members to these forums so we can begin conversations that will help move Barbour County forward.
