Eat Healthy, Be Active Community Workshops If living a Healthier Lifestyle is one of your goals for 2013 this series is for you. Developed by USDA these research-based workshops will be an opportunity to come together in a fun and interactive setting to learn about eating healthier and putting more activity in your life. There are five workshops each lasting 1 hour and containing handouts, activities, and videos designed to help you make healthier choices like foods to increase, foods to decrease, and balancing calories. The workshops were developed by USDA's Department of Health and Human Services in partnership with the Office of Disease Prevention and Health promotion and presented by Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Have A Healthy Baby

Location: MC Health Department, 3030 Mobile Hwy., Montgomery AL

There is no cost to participate.Classes are taught by trained, caring educators. Have a Healthy Baby targets limited-resource pregnant teens and adults who are at greatest risk for delivering low birthweight babies. Foods are cooked and tasted at most lessons. A certificate and Baby's First Year Calendar are awarded upon completion of classes.Baby gifts are given at some of the lessons.
