This 8-hour workshop will focus on preparing first responders for interactions with venomous snakes. Training will include venomous snake ID, common non-native venomous snakes, general safety practices, handlingsecuring venomous snakes, first responder medicine and bite protocols, and hospital care expectations. This meeting is open to emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, firefighters, and police officers. Seating is limited and preregistration is required.
