Troy Recycles Day

Troy Lowe’s Parking Lot, 1421 US Highway 231 S, Troy, AL 36081

Join us at the Troy Recycles Day Saturday, Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Troy, Alabama.

Items that can be recycled include:

  • computers
  • flat screen tv’s or monitors
  • 1-5 plastics
  • paper
  • cardboard
  • cell phones
  • batteries
    • Lead Acid, NiCad, Nickel Metal, Lithium-Ion, and Rechargeable Tool Batteries only.
  • metals
  • metal appliances
  • bikes
  • documents for shredding.

Please note that drop off items to be shredded is limited to 10 bags or boxes per household/organization. The document shredder on site is provided by courtesy of First National Bank and Troy Bank and Trust.

Alabama Extension will be on site with many other partners to assist in:

  • paper shredding
  • electronics recycling
  • battery recycling
  • metal recycling
  • regular recycling

The following items will not be accepted:

  • AAA-D batteries
  • CRT or tube TV/monitors
  • hazardous waste
  • tires
  • fluorescent tubes
  • paint or wet/leaking paint cans
