The Home Grounds team presents Urban Green: STEM in the Gardens – Teacher Training Workshop

Alabama Extension Home Grounds Team knows that for a school’s outdoor classroom to be successful it must be grown and maintained correctly. The STEM in the Garden course will train teachers on basic gardening principles, ways to align the Alabama gardening calendar with your school year calendar, and solutions to common problems associated with outdoor classrooms. STEM in the Garden will strengthen your garden knowledge while maximizing your school garden’s STEM teaching capability. This course follows along with Clemson University’s outdoor classroom curriculum, ‘STEM in the Garden,’ which will be provided during the program. This is a two-day event.
