Preserving Summers Bounty

First Baptist Church Trussville, 128 Chalkville Road North, Trussville, AL 35173

We will cover canning low acid foods (vegetables) in a pressure cooker and high acid foods such as jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, etc.

In class, we will process either blueberry or peach jam and then do some candied jalapeños to preserve. Many handouts and recipes will be available for you to pick up and food preservation books will be available for sale at the low price of $6.00.
