PCREP Family Fun Day 2019

Alabama A&M Agribition Center, 4925 Moores Mill Road, Huntsville, AL 35811

For the past four years Alabama Extension has held the Family Day of Education and Fun, an event of Parent-Child Reading Enhancement Program (PCREP). The PCREP Family Fun Day is a community favorite that highlights the importance of teaching children ages 4 to 9 how to be successful and confident readers. This year the public will join the festivities on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The venue is Alabama Agriculture and Mechanical University’s Agribition Center located at 4925 Moores Mill Road in Huntsville, Alabama.

What to Expect?

Participants can expect to enjoy exhibits, vendors, games, door prizes, water slides, a horse carousel, food, music, and much more. Kids earn PCREP dollars (play money) from each educational activity they participate in on June 22 to purchase books and other items at an on-site bookstore. Parents can also earn PCREP dollars by completing the program evaluation form.

The event is free and lunch is included. Be sure to bring proper attire and a towel for the water slide.

Vendors and Exhibitors

Potential vendors and exhibitors may contact Nancy McCrary at (256) 372-4937. Exhibitors must provide an educational activity for the youth. The vendor set-up fee is $50.00.
