SUMMARY:Operation Grow Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:Operation Grow is hosting a two-day Boot Camp for veteran and beginning farmers on May 28 & 29\, 2026. This training will focus on the fundamentals of starting and managing a farm\, including business basics\, marketing\, and selecting the right production systems. Sessions will cover topics such as livestock enterprises\, fruit and vegetable production\, and how to get started farming with the resources you have available. \nParticipants will learn from Extension specialists\, experienced farmers\, and agricultural professionals through a mix of classroom instruction and farm visits. The Boot Camp is designed to help beginning farmers understand the key decisions involved in starting a farm and to connect them with educational resources and support networks available through Extension and partner organizations. \nThis event is intended for veteran and beginning farmers who want to build a strong foundation for their farming goals and learn more about available opportunities in Alabama agriculture. \nThe Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&M University and Auburn University) is an equal opportunity educator\, employer\, and provider.
