North Alabama ForestHER Intro to Forest Management Workshop

Join us in Decatur, Alabama for an Intro to Forest Management Workshop for Women. As part of our ForestHER programming through Alabama Extension, we will be hosting a one and a half day workshop jam packed with information you should know as a landowner. Topics covered include Map Reading, Setting Goals and Writing a Management Plan, Working with a Private Consultant, Selling Your Timber, State and Federal Resources and Assistance, On-Site Field Measurement Techniques, plus a field component to talk about Tree ID, Thinning, Wildlife Opportunities and much more.
There will be great food, opportunities to network and make connections with other participants, plus educational handouts, and swag to take home!
The workshop costs $50 for both Thursday and Friday or $35 for just Thursday. Limited scholarship codes are available for those who would like to attend and could use additional support to do so. Contact Kerry Steedley for more information about the discount that the scholarship code will provide.
