Natural Resources Webinar Series – Managing for pine-hardwood mixtures

Millions of acres of pine-hardwood or pine-oak (25 to 75% pine component with mixed or pure hardwoods) forest types exist across the southeastern United States, yet these forest types are rarely intentionally established or managed. This presentation will discuss development and potential desirable attributes of pine-hardwood forest types and cover previous research trials to establish shortleaf pine-hardwood and loblolly pine-hardwood mixtures.
