Midwinter Goals

  • Explore new and exciting opportunities in 4-H.
  • Reach out to other young people.
  • Attend workshops to learn valuable leadership skills.
  • Help others through community service.
  • Motivate senior 4-H’ers to stay active on the local level.
  • Make the best better.


The Midwinter Leadership Retreat is for enrolled seniors (4-H ages 14 to 18).


Midwinter will be held virtually February 5–6, 2021. Register via 4HOnline. Registration closes January 14, 2021. The cost is $35 and includes a Midwinter T-shirt, water bottle, Midwinter workshop supplies, snacks, and surprises.


Escaping the Space Race: Learn about the planets in the solar system while utilizing team building skills in this escape room style workshop. You will be tracking down items stolen by aliens!

Your Money, Your Life: Did you know that it costs an estimated $30 billion to travel to the moon? In this workshop, we will learn how to properly manage a budget to make sure that you have enough funds for your trip to the moon.

Exploring the 4-H Universe: As we explore the solar system, you will learn new things every minute. Like space, 4-H has many things to offer that some 4-H’ers do not know about. In this workshop, we will learn all about these 4-H projects.

Astro Facts: Get ready for trivia fun! In this workshop, we will play a trivia game. Don’t worry, the questions are common knowledge, but do you think you can buzz in faster than the other 4-H’ers? We’ll find out.

Leading Your Way Through Difficult Conversations: Whether on a mission to space or in a conversation with a friend, you will always work with people who may have a different opinion than you. In this workshop, we will learn how to better navigate handling difficult conversations.
