Chainsaw Safety Workshop

Alabama Extension, ALFA Farmers and the Conservation District in St. Clair County are hosting a two-day Chainsaw Safety Workshop. The goal of the workshop is to provide training on personal protective equipment, safe chainsaw operation and precision felling. PLM points are available. Admission is $25 daily.

Topics include: History, risk management, safety practices, starting & operation, maintenance, limbing & bucking, & basic felling.

Friday, May 23 – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – $25 admission

Odenville, AL 35120

Participants will get hands-on instructions in the field on chainsaw handling and operation, limbing and bucking, spring pole practice, and felling. All participants will have ample time to operate provided chainsaws.
